My last week was spent doing things that I had been meaning to do all semester, but just didn't have the time to do, such as going to the Wimbledon Tennis museum, tea in Hampstead and the Annie Leibowitz (spelling?) photo exhibit at the National Portrait Gallery.
The photo exhibit was great, definately worth the 8 pounds. Going to Wimbledon was really cool, just to see the stadium was great-i didn't get to see the center court because of construction, but the museum was really cool and hands on, with a 200 degree cinema where you just sit in there and the screen is over halfway around the room.
The rest of the week was full of packing, running errands and flat mexican night. For the first time all semester we all decided to have a theme dinner night, and due to the lack of good mexican food in London, that was our theme! i was in charge of the beef...but we had tacos, quesadillas, nachos, guacamole and salsa! mmmmmm
Overall, the week was bittersweet, I was excited to come home, but knew I would miss things about London. Anyway, after a 9 hour flight, Newark welcomed me back with a downpour, which made getting my like 200 lbs. of luggage to the car difficult, but we did it, and now i'm sitting in bed watching Friends.
It's been suprisingly difficult adjusting back to life here, but things like Panera and bagel bites make it easier. Overall, this was the best semester yet-not just because I was in London, but because I learned things that "can't be taught in the classroom."
THE END.
