Secondly, yes, contrary to popular belief i am going to school here. In fact, I have class tonight! Actually, that's kind of a lie, I usually have my Entrepreneurship class tonight but instead we're going to the British Library to see a panel of fashion entrepreneurs speak, so...I can see where you guys are coming from!
So I guess I will backtrack to Sunday--the boat tour to Greenwich. The boat tour left from the Thames River at around 2, so Maggie, Arielle and I went to the Thames River Festival for a little while beforehand to explore. While we had biked here the day before, weaving in and out of little children, we didn't really get to see much. Luckily the weather was beautiful. I took lots of pictures...and video of walking over the Thames River.

The London EyeWhile I went on the trip to Greenwich a few weeks ago, I decided to go again since my stupid tour guide left me no time to explore last time! The boat was one of the Thames River Clipper things, that just goes up and down the river and you get off at the different stops (London Bridge, London Eye, etc.). The inside of the boat kind of reminded me of the boat we took to Capri...so that made me nervous, but luckily no barfing!
Once we got to Greenwich the dude with us (no one really knows where he came from, the school? a tour guide? he was just there with the lady from SU when we got there), gave us a history lesson (woo woo) on the lawn inbetween 2 buildings which I should remember, and then we had a picnic which was pretty cool. Afterwards we just walked around and found our way back to the city from the tube.
Monday was my DAY OF CLASS (so there!)...so I had 3 hours of Photo in the morning, and 3 hours of PR in the afternoon. In Photo he's still teaching everyone how to develop, enlarge, and make prints...so that leaves me, the only one with digital, with not a heck of a lot to do. Monday he went over some basic photoshop tips with me, most of which I remembered from Graphics, and all of which reminded me how much I hate photoshop, so this should be fun.In PR we were told to organize a press conference for next week--apparently there's a lot of debate in the UK on whether or not to use nuclear power, and apparently Tony Blair acted all environmentalist when he was first in office, then a few years ago gave the go ahead for nuclear development, so half of the class is 'pro' and half of it is 'anti', and since our class is only 7 people the teams are kind of small, which is almost better because it's less people to delegate with. Anyway, so that's whats going on in school.
Yesterday Maggie and I ventured over to Picadilly with intentions to go to the National Gallery and the National Portrait Gallery. Once we got off the tube we got kind of distracted and ended up walking around a lot, then making our way to Trafalgar Square. We went into the National Gallery Museum then decided the National Portrait Gallery would be more exciting, so we walked around the corner and went in.
Now, for some reason, National Portrait Gallery didn't trigger anything in my mind, so when we walked in and it was all portraits of people the lightbulb went off...oops! It was really very interesting, and we only made it through the first 2 floors before getting tired. We then walked around to Leister Square, where to our suprise, they were preparing for the movie premiere of Tropical Thunder? or something? All I know is it was with Ben Stiller and Robert Downey Jr., but we heard they weren't coming until like an hour from when we were there so we ditched, but it was cool to see!
So now I don't have class until we meet at the Library at 6 tonight, so I'm planning on going to Oxford Circus and walking around a bit, then hopping on the tube and wandering around the library area.
Oh, also, sidenote, the search for good Italian food hasn't been going so well, so last night i resorted to my own resources and attempted, for the first time, penne arrabbiata. It wasn't that bad, but it wasn't that good either. Mom-email me your sauce recipe?
Tomorrow I have class from 2-5, then Bri's visiting this weekend so she'll be here and I think we're all going to go out to dinner Thursday. Friday I'm going on the school trip to Bath, and I GUESS, entertaining ms. bovery.
adios!

Ya gotta know how jealous I am of all your sightseeing. The most exciting thing I'm doing today is going to Shop Rite ! LOL. Taylor asked me to take her to Justice (apparently her favorite store) on Saturday. I'm thinking this could be an extremely expensive weekend!
Behave yourself & say "hi" to Bri
Love & Kisses, Aunt Maur
Glad to hear you are getting to the museums in London. Maybe we can do the next 2 floors of portrait museum when we come. Glad to hear you aren't getting good italian food there. Now I know for sure, you will be back home soon!!
Have fun this weekend with Bri.

Hey,Nic
Too bad you had to make time to attend classes. You were doing so well exploring bakeries and all.
Grampa and I never really had a desire to go to London because of the lousy weather [really bad hair days]. Now, we don't even have to think about it. Reading your blog, I feel like we're there and guesswhat- we don't even need an umbrella!
Love you and love your blog
